Current Accreditation
CMCS currently holds the following accreditations.
BenchmarQ™ Gold Star
BenchmarQ™ is a process to measure customer satisfaction, which has been exclusively
developed by QMS. It enables them to gather honest and accurate feedback from our
customers and report back on what we are doing well, and on any areas where we need
to improve. By understanding what our customers really want, we can ensure that
we are providing it better than anyone else.
ISO9001 - Quality Assurance
ISO9001 is by far the world’s most established quality framework, currently being
used by around 897,000 organisations in 170 countries worldwide and sets the standard
not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general. It helps
all kinds of organisations to succeed through improved customer satisfaction, staff
motivation and continual improvement.
ISO14001 - Environment
This is an internationally accepted standard that sets out how businesses can put in place an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). The standard
is designed to address the delicate balance between maintaining profitability and
reducing environmental impact; by ensuring the commitment of the entire organisation
to its environmental objectives.
ISO27001 - Information Security
ISO27001 is the only auditable international standard which defines the requirements
for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The standard is designed to
ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls. CMCS have been
accredited with ISO27001 by both QMS and BSI, ensuring maximum compliance.
Cheque Printer Accreditation Scheme
Member
The Cheque Printer Accreditation Scheme was introduced in 1995 with the aim of tackling
fraud involving company cheques. The Scheme ensures that all cheques for use in
the UK are produced by accredited printers who have adopted stringent security standards.
These measures have increased the security of cheque production by enabling standards
to be introduced more swiftly and economically across the industry.

Accredited to Standard 55
Standard 55 has been prepared by the Cheque and Credit Clearing Company to provides
the basis for the audit of an Information Security Management System implemented
within an Accredited Cheque Printer's organisation. The standard, used in conjunction
with ISO 27001, addresses the specific information requirements for an Accredited
Cheques Printer. Under the Cheque Printer Accreditation Scheme CMCS are accredited
to Standard 55.

Member as a Disaster Recovery Site
CMCS are also member of the Cheque Printer Accreditation Scheme as a Disaster Recovery
site, so we are able to personalise cheques in a disaster recovery scenario. We are
the only company recognised by C&CCC as a cheque personalisation printer under both normal and disaster recovery circumstances.

PCI DSS - Data Security
The PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security
management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other
critical protective measures. This comprehensive standard is intended to help organizations
proactively protect customer account data. CMCS are currently in the process of obtaining
accreditation for this standard.
