Site Security

CMCS employ numerous measures to ensure the consistent safety and security of your data and documents.

The site has an internal/external CCTV system that incorporates 25 high – resolution, colour cameras. There are 5 motion-tracking, dome cameras that cover the external perimeter (with particular focus on the doors and entry points) and 20 internal cameras covering every secure or restricted, data processing area.

The digital archiving system stores the output from each camera for a minimum of 90 days, with access to the footage strictly controlled by user privilege.

When the site is unmanned, the external cameras are remotely monitored by a 3rd party security provider by means of a dual path signalling device (radio and telephone). This monitoring service is 24/7 and officers have access to a tannoy system with which to deter potential intruders identified whilst monitoring the external cameras. In the event of escalation, the 3rd party agency will contact key holders or police as deemed necessary.

So that the risk of CMCS staff complicity is removed a 2nd independent security company is utilised as joint, first response key holder.

The site has an intruder alarm system installed that can generate sequential confirmation (as required by Police Service regulatory bodies) and is permanently monitored via a dual path signalling system by a dedicated, 3rd party security provider.

First Response (be it law enforcement or an additional 3rd Party, secure response agency that CMCS engage) is within 5 minutes of notification.

Should the CMCS perimeter be breached and an intruder alarm activated, CMCS have an additional security feature in the secure data areas called ‘Smoke Cloak’. These are wall mounted units that contain a series of chemical liquids, that when combined form an extremely inert gas that fills any enclosed space in under 3 seconds, reducing visibility to zero and rendering the intruder incapacitated until such time as first response arrives.

All internal and external doors are controlled by a magnetic Maxfob system, each fob is uniquely numbered and programmed with staff specific access rights, ensuring that only nominated staff can enter any specific area of the site and that a 100% log of all access granted (or denied) is kept and monitored.
